⚡ Genre Surge: Country

Country owns the middle of the Hot 100 this week. Ella Langley's “Choosin' Texas” finally gave up #1 after a record 24 weeks on top, and she still has five songs in the top 25: “Choosin' Texas” (#2), “Be Her” (#16), “I Can't Love You Anymore” with Morgan Wallen (#19), “Jaded” with Koe Wetzel (#24) and “Loving Life Again” (#25).

The rest of the genre is moving too. Stella Lefty's “Boston” holds #6 in its 26th week. Morgan Wallen has “Been By Now” at #7 and “Last Thing You Need” at #13. Corey Kent's “Empty Words” is one of the week's biggest climbers (+23), with Kenny Chesney (+7) and Luke Combs (+4) also rising.

Hip hop is borrowing from country as well: Drake and Don Toliver's “Solar Eclipse,” a rework of “Choosin' Texas,” pulled 1.37M YouTube views on its first day. For DJs, country-pop transitions now work in almost any room.

🌱 Emerging Artists

ADÉLA
The 22-year-old Slovak singer has two songs in the Global 200 top 10. “Ain't In LA” made her the first Slovak artist on the Hot 100, and her debut album PRIMA opened at #4 on the Billboard 200. · Pop / Debut Album
Sienna Spiro
The London-born singer-songwriter (born 2005) left school at 16 to pursue music. “Great Expectation” gave her a UK #1, Visitor debuted at #2 in the UK, and she's now climbing the Hot 100. · Pop / Soul
Stella Lefty
Chicago-born and LA-based, she blends indie folk, country and pop. “Boston” has spent 26 weeks on the Hot 100 and peaked at #2. · Indie Folk / Country-Pop
ALLDAY PROJECT
The K-pop group jumped 47 places to #2 on Soompi's chart with “CRASH.” Watch for it on global charts next. · K-Pop
Dolly Babe
Her “Pink Blush (Remix)” with Megan Thee Stallion is a new entry at #58 on the Hot 100, her biggest chart moment so far. · R&B / Hip-Hop

Pre-release check: none of this week's searches found a new single with a pre-save, pre-add, scheduled premiere or official announcement that confirmed its title, so no pre-release picks appear this week.

📊 Genre Trend Report

This is a week of album-driven chart takeovers. Taylor Swift's The Encore placed four new songs in the Global 200's top five and the top five of the Hot 100, and “The Fate of Ophelia” climbed back to #8 globally in its 52nd week. Olivia Rodrigo is getting a similar lift from album tracks: “Expectations” (+24) and “Honeybee” (+17) are among the Hot 100's biggest gainers.

Latin music is strong in several formats at once. Karol G's “BbY WOW” is #3 globally, “Dai Dai” still leads YouTube's daily views, and “Menor” has 10M views. LATIN MAFIA and Fred again.. sit just outside the Hot 100, and Anuel AA's “Vuelve” is the fastest-rising video on YouTube's daily chart. On the Catching Fire side, Cartel De Santa, Akapellah and Emi Blue show how quickly Spanish-language rap and guaracha are moving on YouTube.

Staying power is the other theme. “Dracula (with JENNIE)” is in its 53rd Hot 100 week and still top 10, Alex Warren's “Ordinary” is in its 86th week on the Global 200, and “Choosin' Texas” is at 50 weeks. Breakout acts like ADÉLA, Sienna Spiro and Stella Lefty are getting there through months of steady growth rather than one-week spikes.

🎧 Curator's Picks — @ElMexicanMorrison

01KAROL G, Judeline & rusowsky — “BbY WOW”
The dance crossed oceans. When a reggaeton record has a Norwegian striker copying the moves, it's bigger than a song. It's in every set I play right now.
02Drake & Don Toliver — “Solar Eclipse” 🔥
Drake flipping the biggest country song of the year into a Don Toliver duet is the crossover moment of the fall. 1.37M views on day one.
03Shakira & Burna Boy — “Dai Dai”
The World Cup is over, but this song isn't going anywhere. Afrobeats meets Colombian pop, and it still opens up a dance floor.
04Romeo Santos, Prince Royce & Dalvin La Melodia — “Menor”
Bachata royalty passing the torch to the next generation. Ten million views and climbing.
05LATIN MAFIA & Fred again.. — “Te Estoy Correteando”
Mexico City's alt scene and UK electronic in one record. This kind of discovery is what the channel is built for.
06Sienna Spiro — “Great Expectation”
A UK #1 that the US is just starting to find. A big voice and a timeless hook.
07Tame Impala & JENNIE — “Dracula (with JENNIE)”
53 weeks on the Hot 100 and still in the top 10. A psych-rock and K-pop pairing nobody saw coming, and it won't leave.
